Creative Marlborough Venue & Facility Survey

Overview

This survey is part of a region-wide mapping exercise to identify Marlborough’s current creative facilities and identify any gaps there may be in our region. Your input will contribute to creating a venue directory for the new Creative Marlborough website and support advocacy for sustainable funding and improved access for creatives. 

The survey takes about 10 minutes.

Why your views matter

We want to gather detailed information about the venues, rehearsal spaces, studios and community facilities currently available to the creative sector in Marlborough. By understanding what spaces currently exist, how they are used, and where the gaps lie, we can:

• Develop an accurate, up-to-date venue directory for the Creative Marlborough website
• Identify challenges and any infrastructure gaps 
• Support informed decision-making and funding advocacy for future creative infrastructure
• Recognise the important contribution the arts make to Marlborough’s social and economic wellbeing, including tourism, hospitality and retail
• Highlight the value of all types of creative space, including community halls, marae and informal venues that support local creative activity.
